- EXCUSE ME!
I don't like to sound mean or anything, but Link is awesome! He's a real hero that we all wish we could be-- brave and heading out on outcounted adventures and able to use every weapon in the book, from sword to boomerang, slingshot to bombs! He's a traditional hero-type figure who wears a TUNIC, I'll have you know, which is perfectly accurate for the setting he's in. His tunic is green, traditionally a color of the fairies (which are not very accurately represented in popular literature). He's not a nymph or an elf, but a fictional race the game calls "Hylian." He is related to the first inhabitants of Hyrule, and is not supposed to be any creature, but a HYLIAN. Now that we've got that out of the way, we're ALL envious (don't try to deny it) of spending lazy days on the back of a horse, saving the world. We'd all like to be there instead of where we are now! AND Zelda is NOT Link's girlfriend and does NOT hang out or like Ganondorf. As part of the royal family, her job is to protect the Triforce from falling into Ganon's hands-- her whole family has been doing this for generations-- why would she LIKE Ganon, of all things? And the theory that Link and Zelda are boyfriend girlfriend is absurd. There is some game evidence supporting the fact that Zelda may actually be Link's sister! (but Nintendo has not officially said this) About Zelda always getting captured-- she always will because she is bound by legend and the Triforce to always be facing Ganon. If she doesn't win, Link's part in all this is to save her. And if Ganon never did anything evil, what's the point of the game?!?
I must say, with respect to the author, that I strongly disagree with his point of view and everything stated about Link. As Zelda is my favorite game series, I felt the need to "talk back" and tell everyone how I felt.
Thanks for reading!
